Drink watered down cranberry juice until you think your teeth are floating so you can flush your plumbing. Then, if (or in my case when) that doesn't work call the doctor and ask for a dose of sulphur.

Well, I`m off to Woodbridge to collect those mugs tomorrow - was going today but we had a cloudburst just as we were going out of the door. Anyway I`ll try not to walk into those perishing bollards this time! Let me know when you are heading for home and I`ll post yours. I`ll post Dawne`s this weekend - are you listening, Dawne? They`re in - at last!

You mind how you go, too.

Let me know how it looks - maybe even send me a pic ??? Dying to know. May I say, I think you have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to purchase them for us lol

Ken may be coming back again in October, so we will wait and see what happens. He's certainly a useful courier - if nothing else lol

You know we will be okay - I am going to do most of the driving and my wings are clipped, speed limit and no more. Word to me was that any tickets or infractions either in other provinces or down in the US are reported back here so what options do I have ? Set the cruise control and live with it lol. Compensation is meeting up with all the rctners!

I need to call the ISP tomorrow but think I nearly have the ngs set up on the lap top. However I am on dialup so doubt I will spend too much time on it for the next few weeks. Many may say that's a good thing lol Now I know you are odd, I utterly dislike the lap top, particularly the key pad, damned difficult to type on it. I will probably just have become proficient on it by the time I get home.

I`m not too keen on typing on it (but you get used to it) - but I love it for designing and having it by my chair - I just need to use the mouse - particularly now I have bought a "Conductor`s" stand" to sit it on! Only £15 from Ebay as opposed to £50 to £70 for a dedicated one - and then only from America.

Give `em all a hug from me!

Check your local health food shop (or even drugstores these days) for cranberry powder capsules. Take 'em by the handful. You don't have to put up with the taste of cranberry juice, and you can get more of the good stuff into your system than you would with juice. Then you can drink stuff you LIKE to flush the system.

Lurker here popping out to possibly help.

For 2 years we dumped water into our bowl so the debris would go down. We did everything we could think of to make the problem go away. Nothing worked. Finally we called the plumber.

He fixed the problem in about 5 minutes.

When you stand above the toilet and look into the bowl - in the front, near where your legs would be, is a hole. That hole had become clogged with a build up of scale and mineral deposits (we have hard water). The plumber took a screwdriver and reamed it out and it worked great. Now every six months or so when I notice it getting a little bogged down I do the same thing.

Hope this helps your problem.

Do you have a big tree near your house? We had that problem once and it turned out that a root from a tree that was close to the house had gotten inside the drain pipes and was plugging it.

Oh my word! I didn't have a hole there any more from all the build up! it took a bit of effort and there is still so build up in there, but talk about a world of difference!

Cheryl,

Turn off the water supply and flush until there is very little water. With an ear syringe and peroxide shoot it into the hole and let it sit about ten minutes. Try this a couple of times. turn the water supply on and flush as you normally would. that should get rid of the scale build up with no toxic fumes. Otherwise you may have to use CLR. Bobbie V.

We had the same problem, and I found the answer in a book we have about simple home repairs. I took a coat hanger, reemed out the hole and voila! (Apparently, it has something to do with a siphon effect that the toilet needs to function properly). I clean it out about every six months or so (or when I remember :))
