OFF TOPIC - the trauma redux :)

DS has his glasses, looks good and notices that his homework was easier to do.

And turned a furious shade of red when the teen age girl two tables over gave him a smile!

He's noticed girls, they've noticed him, it just that Mom saw the whole thing!

He spent this AM complaining his hair is in his eyes! Like he's never noticed that before!

He sounds so very normal and just as you expect a kid his age to behave. Fortunately wearing glasses isn't considered quite as dorky by the other kids now as they were in the past.

I was born nearsighted but didn't know it till I was 8 and they tested my eyes in school. I have fond memories of my first pair of glasses and my mother teasing me about my delight when I discovered that the globs of green in the trees weren't just big green globs but were actually individual things, with interesting shapes and colors and lines.

LOL! Did we all have that same experience with our first pair of glasses?!?

Like you, I've been nearsighted all my life, and I got my first pair of glasses when I was 6. They were Pink Panther glasses. I was/am thoroughly delighted when I was allowed to start wearing contacts at
