OFF TOPIC - Vic's trick

;)

Danged if I know. Doesn't appeal to me at all!

Try AC Moore. I think I saw "blocks" of single colors!

As a matter of fact, I *have* seen kimonos being worn, by members of a friend's family at the reception following a traditional religious ceremony. Her mother wears traditional ethnic clothing quite often, just because it's more comfortable for her to wear what she's used to. And also at the various festivals at the local Japanese churches that Wayne and I go to. There's always at least one attendee (not someone working the festival) in kimono.

There are plenty of stores in San Francisco's Chinatown which sell them. I went into one with a friend, and the salesclerk was quite pointed in announcing when I walked in that there was nothing here my size, and directed me to the seamstress shop around the corner where they could custom make one in a size that I would not find off the rack in any kimono shop.

I also see saris worn on a regular basis -- the owner of my corner store wears them almost every day.

Or around the diplomatic neighborhood surrounding the UN, where the diplomat-husbands wear Western-style suits to work at the UN, but the wives dress in their ethnic clothing.

No - general craft store. I'll look when I am in next and will let you know. About how much do you need?

Well, if they are about the same size as oak tag, or poster board

24x36" I would need about ten. But they have to be nice...Cheryl, by the time you buy a tube and ship, they'll be on sale at Hobby Lobby. I am waiting for their 50% off artist paper sale. About once in every two months they do it and the last time was about a month ago.

You are very sweet to have offered. Thank you very much.
