OFF TOPIC - you'd be proud of me

Last night was DS's hockey team's holiday party with family skate. Not only did DH strap on his skates, so did I and teetered around a bit. DD (age 7) got a huge kick out pushing me around the ice on a chair; that impressed a few people. She also "taught" two other girls to skate. However what I am going to remember is her skating backwards, looking up at me and saying

"Come on Mommy, you can do it."

Hopefully, I can carve out a few hours of stitching today.

GO YOU!

I'd love to get back on my skates again. I used to skate every Thursday afternoon with a friend of mine. It was our coffee hour. But I haven't gone in years and the last time I tried, my ankles were so out of it that I could only make it once around the rink before quitting. I wish I had the time to spend to build them back up again. I used to love to ice skate.

And amazingly, I don't ache too badly.

There are ponds here, DD would love to help you! ;)

Way to go, Cheryl! I haven't laced up yet this season.
