OT A long hello

Hi Everyone, I haven't had a chance to really say hi in a while so I thought I should. Things should be calming down now that I have completed my Master of Science in Management. Commencement is Saturday. :) So now when I get home from work I can actually read, stitch, watch tv, etc. I suppose that means its time to get off from E in the dragon alphabet I am stitching for my 3 year old nephewI just wish I wasn't so bored with that project. Speaking of nephews I have a new neice and newphew born yesterday! Patrick and Shaelyn. Everyone is healthy and doing well. So now I'm up to 4 newphews and 2 neices to spoil. Being an Aunt is great. Since you are probably wondering, no I didn't stitch anything, this Mom isn't into hand crafted gifts. As long as I don't have to put in a lot of long hours and weekends at work, I will have to get used to free time again. I think I can handle that (LOL). My DH says he's glad to have me back, he missed me during the last 2 years, and some of my friends have said the same thing. So now to the bad news and in the grand scheme of things not that bad: Comcast has decided that they no longer allow personal web servers on their network, so my photography and other web pages must be removed. So now I'll have to find a new host for my website, and not with them they want more money for that. I wish there was another internet provider I could use, but my town only has Comcast. So I will be moving my site and it may be gone for a little while after March 1st. Cheryl, Bobbie, Brat, and everyone else that is local, we should get together sometime. BTW I have the Friday of Celebrations off from work so I can be there any of the three days this year, just like old times. I just need to figure out what I will register for besides that Sat night event, and if I will stay over night. That's all for now.

You can build a set of pics on flickr - free - or if you need more space, a nominal charge for membership and I think, unlimited. I use yahoo web hosting for my own site, yes, you pay but it is oh so stable and easy to use.

I hadn't heard that Comcast is removing web hosting. I've got several websites on comcast, but not using my own domain. I hope you mean redirects to named domains which camoflague (sp???) home.comast.net construct.

Not their web hosting services that's what they want me to sign up for, they areremoving the ability to have your own personal webserver. The person on the phone admitted that they wanted to generate more revenue, by making you use their web servers to host your web page. I already pay them more money than I wish for services that do not entirely meet my needs, so I will not be letting them host my pages. Therefore I need to turn off my server and move my pages.

Thanks Donna. I'm still pinching myself to make sure its real. It really took over my life, and it feels really odd not to be rushing to complete an assignment before or after work.

Thanks Ellice. I am finding that I am spending way to much time catching up on housework. I need to balance this out a bit more.

That too will balance out. You will always find things that need doing around the house.
