I wonder where Lisa is now ? This probably reflects her view on Canadians (and others) who never support the USA.

Fortunately I reduced to basic cable as I watched so little television and Fox is not included in that. My television set would have received a hammer right through it if I had seen that article.
It does affect how I feel about donations now though, sorry to say that, but it does.

So you think it's okay to punish all the people in need of help because of one stupid interview by an out of control reporter. We have lots of news stations on TV and Newspapers and News Magazines and I never saw any mention of this story until Sheena shared it with us. Doesn't that mean that not too many people agreed with it and, therefore, didn't even report on it?

Fox news is owned by a right wing jerk, everything they say is painted by his personal bigotries.
It's not news, it's editorials trying to convince fools across the U.S. that it is "fair and balanced" by repeating that phrase between it's biased and offbase stories.

It only shows that there aren`t all that many Canadians on here. It also shows that sometimes second thoughts are best and my second thoughts are that we have more than enough deserving causes at home to take care of. America is always proud of the fact that it`s the richest and most advanced country in the world, so it should be more than capable of dealing with it. It can afford the war in Iraq, after all!

Like any other nation, the US is not monolithic in it's opinions. Certainly the folks in NO didn't vote for the current adminstration, and likely aren't very supportive of its policies.
Best wishes, Ericka
I've lived in England for 4 yrs, Canada for 10 yrs, the US for 11 yrs and back in England for another 19 yrs (damn, now you all know how old I am) and I can confidently say with that perspective that Fox News is S**TE! We had satellite tv for a while (thank God no more) and I'd have to leave the room when hubby had FN on or I'd have put a brick through it.
Went to the Halifax Live website and on it there was this interesting looking link...

I am normally just a lurker who happens to live on the Gulf Coast of Florida; first, let me say, I know the people affected by Katrina appreciate whatever any country, especially our neighbors in Canada, have done for them; as individuals, they are as destitute now as any one human can be, and their lives will never be the same again. Fox News is absolutely a joke and known in our crowd as "Bush's News Channel" and we refuse to watch it. I have been tempted to email Bill O'Reily to see if he will address the fact that as of yesterday, the vice president's companies have already been awarded approximately $700M in clean-up "no-bid"(their words, not mine) contracts; I was in sales for almost 20 years and never had anyone award me a "no-bid" contract unless it was an addition to a lease my company already had in place...and they still checked the current market with my competitors before signing our contracts!

I thank the person who sent me the copy of the article I'd asked for. The problem is, each time I try to open it my PC freezes and I have to turn it off. I'm sure that there is something very weird with the b....y thing but don't know what it is.If I'm not asking to much can someone send the same but only in "text", please? Thanks a bunch. Sofia D
