OT First winter storm warning

Our forecast for this weekend includes the possibility of winter storms with

4 cm of snow. Sigh. Time to look for the windshield scraper.

Yes, snow already. Not surprising that they had some at the top of the Sierras -- they have even been known to have snow in July -- but the snow level was down to 2500 feet the other day. That far down it didn't stick, but it did fall.

No mountains here on the prairie for the snow to stick to, so it fell on my car and stuck to it. There were at least 10 cm piled on it when I left work tonight, and I had to clear all the windows and headlights. Roads in some parts of the province are treacherous.

Get in the car. Point it south. In a couple days, we'll be back up in the mid-80s. No snow here in the Valley. :)

You can send some out way! The forecast is for upper 70's and possibly 80 degrees. That's not supposed to be this time of year! The trees should have changed color, frost on the pumpkin and all that. The Blue Ridge Mtns of VA are still green!

Our weather has been about 2 weeks behind all year, so maybe yours is, too.

You can have our rain. We got 2" over the weekend and we *certainly* didn't need it! I'd send it south, but our river flows north! :) Maybe the Mississippi will bring some down your way.

Joan, who's DD's horse has been standing in a near-lake for the last month.. sigh
