OT: For another viewpoint.....

And how many people have gained sovereignty over territory simply because their long ago ancestors had it centuries ago? More often, land changes hands by conquest and that conquest determines who has it now. That being the case, Israel's claim to the land it has won by victory in war since 1948 makes much more sense than any claims based on who was or wasn't there a few millenia ago.

If we're going to start honoring historical claims, the US might be up a creek along with a bunch of other modern states.

Thank you Sofia , of course i am on `holiday` ,,, probably in one of those make belief Survival series. it isn`t very popular here. Esp since several years ago , the actor playing Rambo, was filming in Eilat, and woke up in his [very] Luxery hotel , to the sound of some rifle shot.... Mr RAMBO ,, hid under his bed and it took quite some time to help him relax.

Of course i have time , i sit in a shelter [ floor size as a double bed].... i sleep on a several winter blankets folded over a rug. on the floor. In the morning i roll them to the side so i can open my folding chair [ Sofia is right , it is a real holiday] and type on my computer that we have plugged in here. Since being under the roof isn`t safe. ,, but i am in A luxery status since i sit under my own house , thus at times i can slip upstairs try and cook a bit or go to the toilet or shower ,, many of my friends sit in staircaes, in small stuffed public shelters, some haven`t mooved from there for 4 weeks.

We here in HAIFA had some easier days. Which we used to see some sun. Our mayor Jonah Yahav calls those days, the HONEY trap. Yesterday Haifa lost 3 people and many were wounded. Other parts of the North loose people , Tragicly all Israelies have already been hit , Jews , Muslims, Beduins, Armenians/

Haifa is also the Holly place of the Bahhai another Iranian born Sector that was hunted and slaughtered by the Shi`ayte in Iran.

I keep in phone touch with many colleagues friends ex pupils, of all groups ,,,, We support each other , we tell each other to go on living as if there is no war. and most of all we are all cynical about the Media report. mirjam
