OT -- Happy dance here....after Rita

We had quite a little thunderstorm up here in the northwest corner of Louisiana, but not as bad as they'd predicted, and we had no water at all come inside our house.

Our power was out for about 32 hours, and it was hot today, so that wasn't comfortable, but we have it so much better than so many people, I can't help but feel very grateful.

And we have cooler temps coming in, just in time for our daughter's wedding next Saturday.

How did everyone else in Rita's path fare?

Lollee and her furballs came through OK. The folks further inland she was staying with had lights and satellite TV -- flickered but didn't go off. Haven't yet heard a report about her house; waiting for her to get home and provide that.

Thanks -- this is my 31 year old daughter who always said she'd NEVER get married.

Then along came Jason....
