OT: I'll take British actresses for 400, Alex!

Changing the header to get away from kvetching mode, since we've taken a turn for the better...

If you haven't seen Judi Dench in "Mrs. Henderson Presents," rent it ASAP! Loved that movie.

[And BTW, I rarely get out to movies, but this week I saw "Stranger Than Fiction" and *thoroughly* enjoyed it. Very well written and well acted.]

Thanks for the reference. We rarely get out to movies during hockey season

- wonder why.

I will confess that we're waiting for the Night at the Museum to open - hoping that the IMAX at either Air and Space or the Udvar-Hazey center (other part of Air and Space) which is near us will have it.

Well, it was kind of light - but we liked it. We don't see her in many things, so this was a switch, compared with the tour de force that is Hyacinth.

Afraid we never go out to the movies - we wait for the DVD to come out so we can watch in comfort - pause it when required, etc. No parking problems, no popcorn/crisps/sweet packet noises! (Unless we`re making them!)

A funny thing happened with this movie. My son-in-law was describibng it to me, and I finally said to him, words to the effect "Dammit, I was a patron of the Windmill Theatre just after WWII. I took my seat at the back, and climbed over the chairs as people left their seats in the front!"

It was famous for never closing throughout WW2. Is it still around?

No, it closed but not until at least the seventies. It couldn't compete with the new type of stripping etc.
