OT need help with MIL gifts

Ok I'm stuck. I have an impossible to buy for Mother in law and sheneeds two giftsi, since her birthday is on mother's day and from previousexperiance we know she hates combined gifts. Problem is she's impossibleto buy for. She hates gift cards and has mentioned she doesn't wantflowers, pictures, nick nacks, books, jewelery, clothes, or plants. She alsodoesn't like the food gifts, and holds a grudge for a long time if youjust send two cards even though she says she doesn't want anything.I need ideas for two gifts and they can't be anything that's consideredclutter since she hates clutter. We tried giving her games and DVDs, since sheclaims to like that but she never even opened them, she has no hobbiesother than watching day time tv, and is retired so we can't get her anythingto use at work. She doesn't like to travel or go to spas. She has an ipad but doesn't use it much. The entire familygave her one for Christas, since she actually asked for something for achange. Anyone have any ideas?-Margaret

if you can find such a planting idea in your country .

She won't appreciate it, but I was thinking about doing that or one of the adopt an endangered species ones or both since I need two presents. -Margaret in MA

With out seeming totally catty, how about that adopt a dairy cow program that is supposed to help small farmers stay afloat.

Excellent idea, Cheryl! There is also an organization called Heifer International (

) that helps poor people raise animals. You "buy" an animal, they give it to a family, show them how to raise and care for them and any progeny the family gives to another needy family. You can also specify that your gift stays in the US if you so choose. Our Sunday School has been donating to them for a few years.
