RE: Firehouse Angel in Flight

Here's one that's way OT, but on this topic....

I heard that there is an intentional mistake in the song, "Stairway to Heaven" that's there for this same reason. I believe it's during the lyrics "..and it's whispered that soon...", you'll hear Jimmy Page hit a sour note on his guitar.

Tw> I had always heard that American Indians do that too when they are

In the PBS Mamas and Papas special, they revealed that on one song, Denny came in early, and they loved the mistake so much that they left it.

Intentional mistake, Darla? VBEG ("here" for "her")

Yeah, that's the one.

It always struck me that sounded like a mistake, but this was no low-budget amateur recording, so I couldn't imagine why the producer wouldn't have re-done it if it were. But it definitely sounded like a mistake. But it wasn't fixed. But it sounded like it should have been ... and finally, after 30 years, I know that it WAS a mistake, and they had a reason for leaving it.

(I, of course, am perfect, and never botched a cue when singing. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
