Firehouse Angel

Sorry Vic -- I have been busy getting ready for the trip to MN and just plain forgot to post. OK lessee -- L'm not sure but I **think** Meredith has the Angel. Is this so -- MEREDITH -- you out there??? I will have to agree with Vic about lighting a bit of a fire under the project. Let's not forget that the piece STILL needs to go to Elizabeth for the beading!!! After that, I have to do the soft finish and then it gets sent back to Vic for framing. It's not out of the question for us to have this project finished and delivered to FDNY HQ on 11 September of THIS year. So -- do the rest of you think this could happen? I wonder where Meredith IS?? I e-mailed her several times and never heard back but that was some time ago and probably just after she returned from her trip abroad. I have the side bars to the scroll frame and wondered if she needed them?!?!? Dr. Brat -- have you heard anything from her??? OK -- let's see if we can get this show on the road. I hear from Meredith last in May. I emailed her yesterday after I saw Vic's message (and replied to it via email), but I haven't heard back. I don't think she'll take me long to bead, but I have to get her for that to happen.

If Meredith thinks she's going to be quite sometime before she has the stitching finished, she could send the piece to MOI and I would finish the actual stitching and then send her on to you for the beading. I am a very fast stitcher so it wouldn't take me too long since there isn't all that much left to be done. Keep us posted on whether or not you hear from Meredith, OK? So, has anyone heard from Meredith, or is this project now defunct? I haven't seen a post from her in several months. I really am disappointed, but oh well. If the angel is gone, I consider this a lesson learned. This angel wasn't just the better part of 200 dollars to put together, but it was a long time of terrific people adding their touch to her and with heart felt sincerity. Now, I have no idea why it's not back where it belongs. This makes me sad and I have to wonder why Meredith has not returned her by now. She's had the piece since March, I think. Oh well.

May I counsel just a little patience, Victoria? I only emailed Meredith a few days ago. It's summer and people go away in summer, so perhaps she just hasn't gotten the email.

Have you tried emailing her yourself? I certainly think you should not yet jump to the conclusion that the Angel is gone.

That is so rude, and totally uncalled for. Cheryl is a good friend to many of us on this group. Since you have 4000 shares, I wonder why you are so bent out of shape over your scroll rods. Additionally several people who felt unable to stitch on the thing, including myself, volunteered at the beginning of the project to help out financially. That offer has not been taken up.

Victoria, if you wanted to keep this exchange entirely private and unresponded to by those you consider out of your loop, all you had to do was to communicate from the beginning of this enquiry by private email.

Cheryl, or anyone else, is as entitled to post regarding the topic as you since you have chosen to make it public.

You are displaying an abominable lack of courtesy.

Why would you? Have you emailed her? Was there a requirement that people check in with you periodically? If not, then it makes sense to be patient.

I have an answer from Meredith and she'll put the angel in the mail to me next week, which is the soonest she can get to the post office. I'll let you know when I receive her and I'll try to get the beading done quickly.

Actually I've done far better than that with my shares, but actually made the decision when they signed Stern - you just reinforced it.

And I'll defend Merideth when ever needed.

And if necessary I will defend you. But somehow I think you can hold your own very nicely without my interference.

That's my Sirius stock. There are many others. And the scroll rods, cheap or not were a gift to me. I wouldn't take a turd from you, let alone a contribution.

Why wouldn't I hear from her since MARCH? Are you serious? Thank you for telling me. Don't rush to get it done if it means it will look awful. There is a difference between rushing, and having a project for many months without a word. I don't have her email address and I originally asked Tia Mary to post this here so I wouldn't have to visit this trap of so called nice people.

Hahaha, Stern is the reason Sirius is going to make me money. Please, by all means, sell.

I can see nothing has changed. The same misery exists here and I can come back in ten years, you will still be here in cyberland defending the kingdom. Geesh. Just finish the angel so I can get it to the place of it's intention. It's not so hard is it? It's been two years. Defend all you want. I really dislike many of you.

Pardon the intrusion, but once the Firehouse Angel has been completed, will we be able to see a picture of it somewhere? I have heard it mentioned several times, and would love to see the finished result of all your combined efforts.
