OOO -- isn't she beautiful??? For those who are wondering -- that ring around the angel's face -- the one that looks like a big dark blue halo -- well, it's not! Janet stitches with this teensy little hoop --
*maybe* 3" in diameter and that "halo" is the hoop mark -- LOL! FYI -- we won't be hearing from Janet for a bit. She's not working for Plaid anymore. She has a job in Birmingham (about 2 hours from here), has sold her house, is commuting (home on weekends) and will be moving over there in a few weeks. She felt it was time to be closer to her family and I agree. Also, I will now have somewhere NEW to go for a long weekend visit :-)! We will both still be sharing "digs" at CATS in Nashville this summer. It's about a 4 hour drive for MOI and maybe a bit shorter for her. >She's gorgeous. Although I now live in Florida, I still consider myself a New Yorker.

I WONDERED what that was. Thought it was a shadow in either the photo process or conversion to graphic process.
Don't worry. That will come out readily.
A> OOO -- isn't she beautiful??? For those who are wondering -- that
I'm interested in how the angel has traveled. So, if you were in Florida when you stitched her, Florida is where I'll consider you. :-) Let me know if you stitched on her while you lived in New York.
Same goes for George. It's where you actually stitched her. She's just been back and forth across the miles - including the Atlantic! I thought it would be neat to track her travels.
Angel of the Morning really looks lovely! I was wondering if whoever stitches her hands plans to do them over one? I just finished frogging mine that I had done over two and replaced them with over one stitching and it looked much nicer....IMHO.

frogging mine
IIRC, Meredith will finish ALL of the stitching unless someone else wants to help out. **MEREDITH** -- were you going to do the rest of the metallics, too?? Once all of the stitching is finished the Angel will go to Elizabeth (Dr. Brat) for the beads. At that point, she will come back to MOI so that I can start on the soft finishing. I have loads of Wisper so if that hasn't been added, I will do that, too. Okay Folks, NOW is the time to put in your two cents worth if you want to have a shot at putting in a few stitches on the Angel. There isn't a lot of stitching left but I am sure we could work out some sort of equatible sharing. Let us know by posting, OK? CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I second the gorgeousity. I'm a New Yawker who just happens to live in Tennessee.
Thanks everyone, she is looking beautiful. Who is going to stitch the wings? And to answer another question, yes, whoever stitches the hands will do them over one. The wings were originally going to be over one, but I had to back out of that because of my schedule.
You should all be very pleased, this project is beautiful and the way it looks, we may have it ready for this September...but don't rush for any reason. It will be finished when it's finished.
Many thanks to all involved, Victoria

If needed I would gladly stitch some more, but I don't want to take a spot from someone who hasn't had a chance yet. I had my chance but got injured so had to pass it on after very little work and would love another go at it. Let me know! Heather
I think I'm the only one on the list now, before Elizabeth does the beading, and metallics, I guess. There's plenty to do still, the wings and the halo. So if you still want to do some, that would work out fine.
Question for you all: I'm about to leave for a vacation in Europe, and am a little worried about the possibility of something happening to the Angel if I take her with me. What do you all think? If it were my project only, I wouldn't care, but so many people have put so much work into this.
Meredith

Meredith, I trust that you will take good care of her and if stitching on her during vacation is something you'd like to do, please do take her with you. I have no objection. If anyone else has an objection, we have to weight it. But from my side, you're good to go.

She made it to England on her own (escorted by the USPS) almost at the start, so I think she would enjoy another trip, this time escorted by you! What countries would she visit? We'd love to know so we can enjoy her trip vicariously!
Tia Mary, when you list the stitchers' states, maybe you could mention the Angel's travels?
Felice
I'm headed to Italy (Sorrento) for a week with my choir, then will be going to Germany and Switzerland with my boyfriend. Hopefully the snow will be all gone in Boston by the time I get home. ;D

(big smile) It's me keeping track. I've been noting the last initials and the States and have started to put them on my copies of the web pages and will upload the updated pages in a couple days.
My first reaction to Meredith's post was: Oh, don't you dare! Luggage lost, stolen, forgotten in a hurry . . . Oh, dear! But that's *my* take based on a long life and seeing Murphy's Law take hold more times than I care to count. If no one else objects, don't let my thoughts stand in your way.
And yes, if you decide to take her, please tell us what countries she traveled and I'll add that to the website/history.

Oops, sorry, Dianne! F
Oh my! I assume Meredith would never let it out of her hot little hands! F
