I use thread heaven with my silks. But, I probably also use slightly shorter lengths - maybe 14 inches? Also, I used size 24 petite needles rather than 26s - it helps to keep the silk from dragging. And I definitely played with stranding. In some of the flowers I used 2 strands, some I actually used 3 because I didn't like the "X" kind of look with 2. In the rosebud row, where she used 1 for the bud, I used 2 - as I thought it just disappeared with only 1 strand.

I'll find where I put the pix, and send some. I have to reduce the file size, as I think I took them in macro mode, and they ended up huge files which I had just quickly let Cheryl see - much to her mailbox's dismay!

I will try shorter lengths then, first, and see what happens before I try find TH around here.

Hmmm. I just finished that band and used one strand. Could it be the different floss you're using is maybe thinner?

Continued thanks.... Joan

Absolutely. Or our taste differs. I did the leaves with 1 strand, but the bud, which is pretty pale pink looked sickly in 1. I think I used Soie Crystal for the pink buds. I'm sure yours is lovely.

We just got back from NJ - took us 7 hours - with one 25 min stop - instead of our usual 5. Anyhow - after touring the non-interstate byways thru NJ, Penn, MD, & VA - I could sit and do some stitching tonight. And catch up with RCTN . So, I apologize for not yet sending you my little pix - we can compare our "gardens" . DH just ran out to Café Opera - an Asian variety restaurant to pick up dinner - so, just had a minute here.

No problem! I haven't work on mine at all since last Fri. so I haven't gotten very far. I'm finding I need to count *much* more carefully as I've had to completely remove and restitch two sections. sigh. I'm currently working on the buttercup row.
