One of the great potters that America has produced. Daniel Seagle was the son of Adam and Eve Seagle. He was one of the first alkaline-glaze potters in the Catawba Valley region of North CarolinaDaniel Seagle was the first well-known potter from the Catawba Valley Region. His family settled in the area that is now Lincoln County in the late 1700s. By the mid-1800s, he was operating a successful pottery business, which his son continued after his death.
