Another of Pat's Geometrical quilts is finished.

Love the quilt Tutu -- front and back. Very clever -- and another fine example of Pat's creative patterns. Well done.

Cheers Bronnie

Julia, dear, your comments are what makes the quilt/creative world such a wonderful place to be. What one does that feeds their creative soul may not be the same thing that triggers someone else's soul. And, that is okay, really it is. The chance to express oneself freely, much like you did in your opinon, means we each get to ooh and aah over that which speaks to us. Not everyone likes every style/type of quilt production. And most importantly, there are not Quilt Police.

Even though I don't care for scrappy quilts, I do like this one. It appears as if it all goes together.

I can "get" the AGodsHouse. I can imagine a rooftop, perhaps some beams of light from top left down toward the right, and a doorway at the bottom. It has a bit too much going on for my eye to take in everything. But it seems to almost work as an abstract.....to me. Almost.

Looked at the quilt without 'looking' for anything. I like the turquoise blue that you used throughout. Enuf to ask: do you know the maker, etc, about it?

First thought....space ship just lifted and left a trail of 'organized chaos' behind it.

OR you threw colors into a blender and hit Puree. You could call it 'Dinner in a Blender'

OR

Digging for Turquoise OR Aquamarine

Know you didn't ask for naming it.but I can't see 'God' anywhere besides the 'purplish-green triangle in the upper left corner...about in the middle of the block..and maybe the front door in the middle of the bottom of the middle block...being a doorway and all.

This would be a great quilt for 'I Spy the color::::::::: shape::::::::::::: flower

It just is a 'fun with colors' type of quilt and I for one am glad you did it.

It's making a LOT of us think--HOW--did she get that title .

Butterfly (I would like some of that blue......looks like it'd be perfect for 'water'.Do you remember anything about it?)

Oh, yes. I take for granted that my comments are just my opinion. I see no reason to repeat that for every post. Why would I be typing anyone else's opinion? Likewise, I want everyone to feel free to tell me what they really think. It's no fun otherwise.

No apologies necessary. This is exactly the sort of feedback I was looking for. I've wondered if the central diagonal line showed up clearly enough too.

The blue is an old Hoffman, one a friend gave me from her stash. I'm afraid I have none left.

The quilt was from the leftovers from this quilt:

's why I thought of it when the back of the spiral quilt was made from the leftovers from the front.

The name God's House was something I thought of after the quilt was complete, not something I was shooting for when I started. The name came from the way I think of the natural world. If you know nothing about science, if you landed on the planet for the first time, you'd look around the earth and think it was chaos. You have mountains and movement and things growing and blowing, and none of it would seem to make any sense. If you spend a lifetime taking a closer look, you see order and patterns, natural laws, causes and effects, repetitions. And it's all covered by a protective beam.

I'm open to suggestions of different titles for any of the quilts. I'd almost hoped that people would look at the quilts without the names, but there's no way to avoid them the way my friend has put up the index.

I realize that the quilt is busy and abstract. As y'all can tell from the jewel box quilts and the one made with 60 degree stars, in general, I prefer a little more order in my quilts, both in design and color scheme, but I liked the way that use-up-the-scraps one came out, so I thought I'd ask what others thought of it.

Cry. I enjoy blues but that one is 'over the top'. I'll have to go thru my blues and see if I can find anything close to it.

**If not, may I take a pix of this to a 'fabric store owner' and see if he can find anything close to that color? (HE doesn't quilt---but sews a wonderful 'man's jacket, including zipper . Last thing I saw him 'model' for us), and clothes for his "wemmen", etc)**

Thanks for splainin this further. If I can see a loaf of French Bread in cloud formations..........

Wow, I really like the spiral. Very 3-D, it almost feels like you're being pulled into the middle of the quilt. Lovely.

That's really gorgeous.

Pat, if you're listening, I've been snowed under at work for a couple of months and now we're on the holidays and I started reading my quilt mags I've realised that your book is out! Can I still get a copy through you or is it easier to go through amazon or someone?

Lovely to see people enjoying your patterns :)
