My quilting buddy and I went to the Chicago show last Friday, doing a1 pm workshop where we made a bright/zany flowery wall hanging withLaura Wasilowski- ( had super expensive rooms at the hotel attached to the conventioncenter, paid for valet parking, tipped the guy who carried ourluggage, and basically lived like money grew on trees for 24 workshop was super fun, and we've graduated from the ChicagoSchool of Fusing. I've already made a second in a series and Lyn andI bought all the wonder under at Wallie world on our way home!!Did you know that wonder under isn't permanect until you steam pressit? And that it's repositionable once totally cooled if you only useda dry iron? And that you can construct multi layered objects on apiece of the backing paper that w-u is backed with before putting itinto the quilt? whew.We spent lots more money at the vendorsAND I BOUGHT A NEW BABY LOCKQUEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Home now. broke. but really really happy.Musicmaker

DH emphasized this morning that I can't even open the box when it comes. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS. ouch

good idea - I'll try to get it done, but Thanksgiving has snuck up on me. sigh. By Saturday, 4 days away, I have to be completely ready to leave for TX to spend the holiday with my side of the family, which means having all their Christmas presents wrapped and ready too. What happened to October?????

To show how busy I have been I must tell you that I didn't go to the show even though it is only 20 minutes from my house. Sorry I haven't been reading the newsgroup to have arranged a meet-up.
