back to reading :)

Hi all.

I've just survived a wonderful trip thru Saskatchewan. DH went for a weekend symposium on knifemaking - his hobby and also our business.

To get to the symposium we had to pass my 2 youngest sons and 2 grandbabies. And where the course was held was only 45 minutes from his son and 3 grandbabies. Well of course from there he would only be 1 hour from 2 other daughters and 5 more grandbabies.

Now you can see why I insisted on going for the trip too. Then from the town where his 2 daughters are we may as well come back thru Saskatoon where 3 more (my) kids and 1 grandbaby are. So all told we saw 8 kids and 11 grandbabies in 8 days. It was great and I am exhausted.

The Sat night of DH's symposium, all the guys went for supper and many were bringing their wives. Turns out that quilting is a great ice breaker among the women. Several of the wives were quilters. It certainly helped with starting conversations, and I got lots of recommendations for quilt shops to see on my trip. I didn't get to any cause I was too busy with grandbabies, but it was fun talking about them.

Hugs and prayers for all who need them.

I'm off to work on catching up with books from being away for a week.

Eleven grands in 8 days? Oh my goodness, I just can't think of a trip more wonderful. I hope you got lots of baby sugar for all of us. Wow. Awed. Polly
