OMG....that is sooooo gorgeous! How difficult is that one to do.....I would love to make that sometimes? It's paper-pieced isn't it? Is it hard to get that circle part on......haven't worked with curves yet?

So ya gonna make a practice block in front of your class and then send it on to me? I'll put it up on my RCTQ wall.....and think of you every day. (and it doesn't even have to be from batiks or have butterflies in it : )

Congrats! Joan, that is just beautiful. Love the colours. If you did the arcs with paper piecing, it is very similar construction to my "Dancing Lights in Indigo Night". Flipping and rotating blocks. (see

What was the block size?
9" blocks. It's a Fons and Porter pattern. Yes, the arcs are paper pieced. It's a really neat pattern and the blocks are easy after you've done a few.thanks to all for the kind words, joan
