As excited as you are about teaching the class - your students will be thrilled when they see this!!

Roberta (in VA)

OMG....that is sooooo gorgeous! How difficult is that one to do.....I would love to make that sometimes? It's paper-pieced isn't it? Is it hard to get that circle part on......haven't worked with curves yet?

Lorraine

So ya gonna make a practice block in front of your class and then send it on to me? I'll put it up on my RCTQ wall.....and think of you every day. (and it doesn't even have to be from batiks or have butterflies in it : )

All of your quilts are amazing. The Batik Beauty is really a masterpiece.

If I quilt fast enough does it count as an aerobic exercise??

Beautiful job! It makes me want to make something out of batiks.

That's really beautiful Joan. The class members are going to be ecstatic, if they can produce a quilt like that. . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes

Beautiful! Is that grid in inches?? If so, that's teensy paper piecing! Roberta in D

Congrats! Joan, that is just beautiful. Love the colours. If you did the arcs with paper piecing, it is very similar construction to my "Dancing Lights in Indigo Night". Flipping and rotating blocks. (see

got me wanting to do another art quilt. What was the block size? Cheers Bronnie

What was the block size?

9" blocks. It's a Fons and Porter pattern. Yes, the arcs are paper pieced. It's a really neat pattern and the blocks are easy after you've done a few.

thanks to all for the kind words, joan
