Wow, that is stunning Joan. Wild Thing is right, but I love it - even though I rarely step on the wild side! You and spiky designs are really going together brilliantly. . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes

Been there, done that! Great job! And you're still sane enough to write to the news group. Congratulations! There are times I'm tempted to try another one. KJ

It's wonderful! You did yourself proud!

So did I. But right now it's buried in my sewing room. Which is now a complete mess since a shelf fell off the wall yesterday! :-( I had hopes of redoing my room around the new Horn sewing table...the

5000...that changes height. Until I saw the price at the Chicago quilt show....the show special (my nemesis) was $2400!!!!!! Crud! One of the few "show specials" that I couldn't fall for. I could get a new "show special" Bernina 440 for that price! KJ

I think it will win the challenge! I'd vote for it! How big is it btw? It almost looks like a mini.

Carol in TX Need therapy? make a quilt!

It is 19x19 inches. And I'm thinking it won't win. This is a 'customers' choice' contest and Wild Thing isn't 'pretty' in the traditional sense. I'm figuring pretty will win.

But, we'll see. I sure enjoyed making it.

Oooooh, Joan, that's *gorgeous*! But please tell me it's 9x9 in layout and not in inches.... ;)

19x19". And double nine patch design.

Thank you all for your kind words. It's so much fun to share in this group!

GORGEOUS!!! Debi (hopes to have a bit of time to sew this weekend... that or sleep...)

Now a question. I may have a tentative buyer. What to charge?

joan

Oh no! That's a toughie! There's not a lot of fabric in it. Buuuuuuutttttt there is a lot of time at the sewing machine in it. And probably some swear words getting all those curves and points lined up. I doubt I'd part with it for less than $300-350.

Now a question. I have a prospective buyer for Wild Thing. What in the world would I charge?

joan

Oh, its absolutely beautiful!! And I can see why it got it's name. But honestly, 1320 pieces?!! I'd be crazy (crazier?) with that many bits.

A friend of mine sold a miniature (12" x 12" I think) a couple of years ago, for £50. (Can't remember what the current exchange rate is, sorry). . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes
