Big project finished! - See photo

This quilt was started as a group project in a beach house in North Carolina and finished with snowflakes flying here in PA. During the course of putting the quilt together, I used three machines...a small, new Babylock Xscape, my old Singer, and then the Quest when it arrived! I couldn't have machine quilted it without the new, wider-harp Quest. It's the largest quilt I've ever done! I also tried out the memory function and the fancy stitches for the label. It will go to it's new home in NJ soon. I promised it to my son when he graduated last May with his MBA. I'm sort of lost now that it's finished....I'm thinking maybe I should make a couple pillow shams to match now.

I just love that Alice. I would find it difficult to give away if it were mine!. DS will be delighted with it. The label is very clear too!

Piggybacking here! Alice, the quilt is gorgeous! Of course, I love blue, and I love toile, but I really love what you've done with them! :)

It's gorgeous, Alice! The blue stars make me think of snow and winter - in a very good way!

I'm a purple and green kinda gal, but those blues are absolutely gorgeous! Great job there- and the recipient is one lucky guy.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I made a black and white block today for my Guild meeting this weekend....I really do feel lost without the blue and white quilt to work on. It has consumed my free time for quite awhile! Two of my friends made a smaller version in red toile....they were gorgeous!

Oh my goodness, Alice, that quilt has a very bad effect on me - it says 'what are you doing up when you could come snuggle under here?' Probably I'm just tired and chilly but that beautiful creation does look very welcoming. I think doing pillow shams or pillows or just bordering pillow cases is a fine idea. Great job, Alice. I love it. Polly

I may crawl under this quilt today (just to try it out), as it's been snowing since early this morning. Fortunately, it's not accumulating much...the grass is still poking through. But, it did motivate me and my DH to put up the Christmas tree!!
