Because a friend asked me .... and because the local Craft Warehouse (aka Michaels) was offering 30 % off on the fabrics .... I joined Darlene Zimmerman's Clothesline Club. It's not the kind of things I usually make, but I do like the 30s repros.
So I have all the patterns from the past months now -- none is a full- sized quilt, most are small things like table toppers or tea cozy. And I'm getting that insane 30 % discount on the 30s fabrics.
I've nearly finished this month's project, a 40" square table topper. Cute. I can't follow a recipe or a pattern perfectly, so I am putting in cornerstones for the borders. I have an actual piece of fabric truly from the 30s and it's gorgeous. I'm using it for the main border fabric here.
I'll put up a pic when it's done. So far it's been pretty fun. I haven't been insane trying to make the corners meet -- figured it wouldn't really matter, this is just for fun. Imagine my surprise to find that all the corners so far are meeting just fine. Hmmmm.
Gotta go stitch. Sunny
