favorite traditional block?

I think my favorite block right now is "Clay's Choice" -- I've made it several times for block exchanges or brown bag projects and I always like the way it looks. Maybe it's because I enjoy political discussions?!

I got the folding back on the bias idea. Two different blocks come to mind--one is a version of Robbing Peter To Pay Paul, and the other is Cathedral Windows. I don't know if they are folded on the bias, but it is a similar concept of folding edges back to reveal something else and getting a third dimension onto a quilt. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Howdy!

Same here, log cabin, followed by the pinwheel--which is actually just playing with 1/2 square triangles, which I love. The versatility of being able to turn a block sideways and give the whole plan a new look appeals to me.

Hiya Sandy

Are you really really REALLY sure that you want to get me started on the no-phone subject???? I think I'll answer for you; you DON'T!

When you unfortunately have to deal with a company that holds the monopoly, things like this happen!!! Libraries can be fun places!!!!

BTW; your secrete sister thank you package will go out on Thursday (that is the first day I can get to the PO - which in my town opens Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 14:30 pm; I work 8.00 am to 15.00 pm!).
