Thank you, Pat.
It's straight out of the pattern
Susan has shown this pattern on Simply Quilts.

Me too.
Oops! I didn't even blink -- just wrote ATQ without thinking! LOL! Hmm... it's for ATtic windows Quilt, of course. ;) And thanks for the compliment! :)
I do like Attic Windows with that extra sashing strip - somehow it makes the window look more substantial like a real one.
I know you were referring to using HST's for the window frame :-) The way I did mine has probably been done before, I just thought I'd show there is a cheat way to get good point matching if you don't mind a bit of applique.
Interesting.... I don't think I've seen this design before, it's not really something I can see myself doing, it's just not my style, I don't much go in for novelty fabrics. However, I do love KJs birds, so I will have to file it at the back of my mind, one day maybe I will have a block that calls for it.

had a problem again today with a link off one of my yahoo groups. says IE 7 will go to the site fine but does not have permission to view the pages. http error 403. i've no idea how to fix this. probly the same thing with your pix pages. i'm open to ideas if anyone has any. :( waaaaaaaaaaaaaa, jeanne
Try this link to the finished floor cushion, see if it works
ok, ta, Mel. that link got me into the site. the size/ratio of the mitre'd edges on those windows make them stand out 3D style for me, more so than a window. kind of like chopping the top off a pyramid. interesting. great job on those mitres too. thanks for the peek, jeanne
This is how I got the mitres looking so good
i finally got to see a couple of the pix. still having issue with the browser, clean up time maybe, lol. clever girl doing the mitre that way. works a treat. very clever indeed. did you strip piece them and cut the tris from that? must add that little tip to my grey matter for when i get round to making an AWQ. ta for the link to the pix. that worked great. well done, Mel. This is how I got the mitres looking so good
