Going With My Heart

On Wednesday I will be giving the twice Veteran of the Iraq War the Red Star Quilt as a house warming gift for he and his wife just moved into their first home. I ask his permission to give it to him on Wednesday and he was overjoyed and said it would be a privileged to receive it. Nate is 38 and a PT in charge of the cardiac rehab unit for Meritcare. A fine young man who has proved himself to be a geniune healer of the heart as well as the soul. I shall be telling him of the history behind each piece of material....as I will always think of the joy I received each time I opened a package from all of you. It truely has kept my spirits alive. I may even make a third Star Quilt if my "road is long enough." Right now I am sewing tumblers together and getting ready to travel to the East to consult with my Editor/Publisher of my books. I need help with this book of short fictional stories....real life keep creeping IN.

I'm so glad your dilemma has been resolved, Rhoda. I think it was always a great idea, and I love the way it is working out. You are making one special young man feel very treasured. Good luck with the editor meeting! . In message , R. E. Wicker writes

Rhoda: I just peeked at your two r/w/b star quilts. Lovely! I am so pleased to know you will be sharing this with a deserving troop. So, I've got Pat's Original Virginia Fife and Drums Corps playing "Stars and Stripes Forever!" in sunny and hot Virginia.
