So I finish the binding and hold up a WH for David to see.

"Are you finally finished with that? It took you like eight months."

No. Only 5 months and 9 days to do the hand applique and hand quilting.

A picture of Floral Fantasie is in the Quilts album.

Loverly! Is that from a pattern or is it your own design? I think 5 months and 9 days is an amazing amount of time. Way to go!

Beautiful work. Simple design, but those are sooo the ones with the most work in them. They are the ones I like best, they kind of grow rather than get put.

Well done, and quick too!

It was from a pattern I got at a guild workshop many years ago. But by the time I got around to making it, bits were missing and I couldn't remember what was supposed to go where. So I did alot of winging it too.

So do I! And I think that is why David likes this one so much as well.

Not quite night and day but pretty regularly. Sad to say, the basement flood helped a lot because hand work became a lot more attractive and easier than dealing with finding a spot for the machine, etc.
