What is LQS Sally, I don't know all the names of the stores in the US:))

I received my first order from eQuilter.com, I looked there but they don't have needles......

I looked around here in the dutch shops on the internet, but I've found nothing yet, is it like a needle you use voor beading?

And they called 'em straw needles because most hats for ladies were made of straw at one time. There was once a huge industry in Switzerland and parts of Italy, among other places, making long flat braid out of wheat straw. The braid then had to be coiled into a hat shape and the coils sewn together along the edges (like making a braid rug), for which one would need a long thin needle. Decorations for the hats were also made of straw. The French word for sequins (paillettes) comes from the word for straw -paille. The straw stems were opened and pressed flat, then little circles cut out with a stamp. The natural color of this material is very beautiful, almost like gold. (Just think of the girl in Rumpelstiltskin, who was expected to spin a whole room full of straw into gold overnight.) Roberta in D, sorry for rambling on

LQS = Local Quilt Shop, not a particular store. Mine is in the UK. The ones I had are not quite as long and a little thicker than beading needles.

Hope this helps

Yes, that does help, I can buy beadneedles in all different sizes and thickness, I will try some if I can't find the milleners needles.

Thanks
