I am all done with chemo

Wonderful news! I think we should have a RCTQ slumber party! Can we find a room big enough? We can paint each others toenails and tell stories and talk about boys! We'll just pretend that they aren't our DS, DH or DGS's!!! KJ

Congratulations!!!! I'm still in the middle of chemo and have another

10 months of infusions left to go. My quilting has been down to nothing in the last couple months... but I'm starting to plan a new one -- I NEED a new project (and distraction). Thanks for showing me that it WILL end... some day (*smile*).

WTG Janet. If you can't quilt, you can always indulge in a little of what I call "vicarious quilting" - aka daydreaming!

As a survivor of 6 years, I completely feel for you. Hope you didn't have any problems with the chemo - I didn't have 1 second of anything, thank goodness.

I had my mastectomy and reconstruction at the same time, after my round of chemo. During my "sick" time, I lost all interest in doing anything crafty. I am not really a reader, but during that time, I read about 30 books. It took about 20 months after surgery for me to get any interest back for my quilting and other crafts, but then it was full steam ahead. My stamina still isn't great - I tire easily, and my arm is very weak from the lymp node removal. I did have liver problems from the tamoxifin, but my oncologist said that it wasn't causing the problem and wouldn't let me switch. After about 18 months, I did switch to arimidex, and amazingly, my liver counts went back to normal!!! I have finished my 5 years of medication a few months ago.

Good luck to both Janet and Pam. Take care, Roz in Montreal

Best of luck, Janet, as you proceed with treatment. I look forward to Happy Dancing when you are finished Chemo!

I am already Happy Dancing for Pami! Yippee.
