I am all done with chemo

I am all done with chemo. I will get my port taken out soon. Reconstruction will begin soon. My SPIRITS have lifted since I know I don't need to see that infusion room again. Thank you all for supporting me. I only hope cancer now stays away from me. I will have to go on Femara, an estrogen blocker for about 5 years to keep from BC reoccurrence from coming back. Let's celebrate!!! Hugs, Pami

Pami - I am dancing with you here in CA!!!! Congratulations and good luck with the reconstruction.......

A lady I once was friends with had both breasts removed as a precaution due to a high breast cancer heredity in her family, had reconstruction and then had new nipples tattood on..........never would have thought to do that.

Will keep you in my thoughts..... Laurie G. in C

Super Woot!! Pami I'm really glad for you and agree, a major celebration is in order. I say go straight to the chocolate. Of course, the ice cream isn't a bad idea, but for my tastes you can toss the banana and just keep the ice cream, the "fixin's" and add extra cherries on top.

Hurray, Pami! Thank goodness it's over. I know how uplifting that news is. You want to know what the scariest time was for me? I was seen by the doctor every month for 6 months, while on chemo. Then they told me I didn't have to come back for 6 months. THAT was scary. I knew from month to month that I was ok. Not to have that assurance for a whole six months was terrifying.

I got over it but it was sure scary for while.
