Info for Canadians!

I have been searching in the usual lighting stores around town for the old fashioned swing arm metal lights (* I already have 2 set up in my sewing room - one has an Ott bulb inserted and is positioned in the fabric stash area while the other is used with a fluorescent bulb over my ironing board). Anyway, Canadian Tire has them in stock for a good price BUT they also have a selection of Ott-lite lamps. There are several styles available and some stores have them in stock while others will special order (bulb replacements are by special order) but all are at Canadian prices and also will probably be included in CanTire sales when they happen. The folding tube light, for instance, is $49cdn - I have had one for years - even my plumber found it useful when he was doing some under the sink work for me and he was most impressed with the light it gave. jennellh (change the mail to news)

Thanks for the Info , now I just have to wait for my next PD cause my one and only Ott Lite( the hinge type) is just about to give up the ghost, the hinge isn't doing what it is supposed to do. Namely stay open. Next time I hit CT I am going to have to take a look at the new lights. They just redid the store, much larger now.
