Just venting frustration at lost pattern

Hi all, please let me moan. I planned to prepare my project for the start of my quilt group's new round robin. We're doing an appliqu=E9 RR and I had to start off the background to be appliqu=E9d onto. I had a pattern in mind and the other day I decided it would be a good idea to scan and copy a few pages of the pattern to put in my box and get the group to make it up for me. The pattern is one of 4 seasonal floral ones. I didn't want to put the original pattern in the box in case it went astray on the rounds. Guess what. I went to look for the original today to use in collecting together my fabric and couldn't find it!!!! Grrrr! I've hunted all afternoon! to no avail. Just as well I had parts of it copied onto the pc so I've printed it off to use myself. I'm so mad at myself. I have a horrid feeling it may well have accidentally got into the waste bin. I'm hoping not but I just can't find it. Undoubtedly it'll turn up when I'm not looking for it, or looking for something else. My enthusiasm for this project is on a low to start but this mishap has just about done me in with it. I need to have it prepared by next Friday..............Please send me inspirational vibes... thanks SIGH! Thanks for letting me moan and listening... Elly

Is is possible that the pattern is carefully 'filed' with the fabric you were planning to use with it? Sometimes I do that thinking that is being organized. Sometimes it is. Polly

A woman in my quilt circle recently went almost crazy looking for a quilt top she wanted to quilt. She couldn't find it anywhere until another member of the group suggested she look in her batting. LOL! That's where it was! She'd carefully put it with the batting so as not to use that batting for something else -- and then completely forgotten.

I'm sure your pattern will turn up in a similarly logical place -- one of these days. :S

Did you look in the scanner? Can't tell you how many times I've had to go back to the copy store because I left my original.......
