What was lost is found!

My superintendant phoned me shortly after noon to say that there was a parcel for me in the office...I started to wonder if the 'lost' had turned up. Almost 2 months to the day of the original order, the parcel has shown up. I now have my blockbase cd installed and I have notified the store that I do not require the replacement that was backordered. In the meantime, I had received my parcel of fat quarters to replace the original fabric selections which I had convinced myself that I no longer needed - now I have those fabrics too! When I examined the packing box, I realized WHY it had gone astray: they had recycled a 3M bulk tape box which still had the Staples address labels attached - the fault is lifted from the postal service after all and laid at the feet of person who packed and shipped the box from the store. When I talked with her by phone, she said "I guess I have to remember to remove all old address labels when I re- use shipping material".... I have still to hear back from the store owner. jennellh

That's good news. I hope you enjoy it now. Watch out for the avalanche of replacement CDs that will arrive now you don't need them! ;-/ Is this for EQ? If so, I'd be glad to know how you get on with it. It's on my wishlist. Nel (Gadget Queen)

so what now happens with the first order? maybe they'll give you the fabric for nothing. heck, thats cheaper than not learning from their oops on labelling and having to replace order after order after order. j.

Hi Jeanne - the first order items are mine! The insurance paid the store owner - the parcel came to me - it could have gone to the store as 'return to sender' so I'm the lucky one. The store owner hasn't contacted me after I left the message about the parcel delivery and description of all the old mailing labels that had been left on the carton. jennellh

well done you then!! i'd say as the store has been compensated by insurance, no one is going to worry about you having a double lot of fabric to fondle and play with and the store learned about proper packaging so its all good, well tis by my reckoning anyhow. j.
