layout advice

Do you still want an opinion ? I like the graduation of the color, but as others already said, the bottom is too dark ( at least appears so on the photo ). But it will surely be a great quilt, whatever you decide. This pattern looks like fun.... Heidi ( I don't start another project, I don't start another project, I don't.... )

The darkness of the bottom row might be a little overstated in the picture because of the angle from which I took the picture. The blocks ARE dark, but there is a lot more texture and detail in the fabrics when seen in person. I'm doing some housecleaning today.....staying away from the sewing room. They blocks need to breathe! :-)

These are fun.

If you want the quilt to shade from lighter on top to darker on the bottom, then IMO the first one on the left in the second row down from the top reads darker than all the others in its row. I would swap it for either the one beneath it, or better yet, the third from the left in the third row from the top...

But it's WAAAAAY cool!

I understand what you mean. As the gradation progresses, there should be some mingling of the previous grade with the next grade.

I'm saving these suggestions and will print them out before I start shuffling again. Thanks for your input and the time it took to consider all this. I appreciate it!
