Thank you for sharing, Joan. I've been stitching on a Soldier's Angels quilt (off and on) for about 6 weeks and the repetition in it has gotten awfully boring. My heart belongs to crib quilts and your creation reminds me that soon I can get back to them. What a treasure, I know the precious little grand girl will cherish it. Polly

These circles were applied with raw-edge applique. No mastering to it! joan

Yes, the quilting does go over the raw edge applique. I was worried about that and talked to our long-arm expert. Because the seam allowance on the applique was a scant 1/4", it didn't cause any problems. Several of the edges were 'turned' and I clipped those. But after the quilt was washed, you couldn't have found the turned spots anyway. joan
