Do any of you belong to the newsgroup, Our Quilting Bee - The Buzz. I just found this group and you have to be accepted to join and wonder what it is like.

It's not a newsgroup - it's a Google group "Our Quilting Beehive". Their website explains it:

Ginny, the "Our Quilting Bee" site says that their next Swarm (their annual meetup) will be at VQF! You could check 'em out. :)

I do. I joined about a year ago and the group is really lovely. I'll be going to my first swarm in Vermont next week with them. The Swarm is an informal group of some of the members. Someone on the group volunteers to be the point person locally and fix up room space and lists of quilt shops and outing ideas. But basically we just get together and schmooze and meet old friends and make new ones from the group. It just happens that this swarm coincides with the quilt show. The last one in November I think was in Shipshewana, IN in Amish country and more like a retreat weekend with lots of eating, sewing and talking going on.
Where are you from in PA? I'm from a little west of Philadelphia.
