Hee hee! My mother's family calls it "the biffy" but I've never found anyone else who uses that word.
I also read a book where "built like a brick outhouse" was converted by a Russian-speaker to "built like a mirror-wardrobe".

That would mean to me 'Built like a flimsy paper thin thing that would shatter as soon as you look at it' - NOT James at all! :D
It's fairly common around here. DH worked with a guy with a crazy sense of humor; he loved to say "I'll be jack in a biffy" instead of "back in a jiffy"
