NOT: stands for entirely off topic

I solved a problem today and just have to share it with you. The heat - 110° in the shade caused the glue that holds the glass panes in our doors to ooze. Then the gnats, mosquitoes and poop from the birds who had indulged in too many blueberries added to the gross condition. Is this an awful picture or what? Today's aha! I found some orange spray over in the section for stuff to remove "goo", De-Solv-It, in Wal-Mart. Wow. It took the running glue, critters and processed blueberries off the doors. Did not hurt the paint. Did not take off any skin from my senior hands. Did gum up my nail polish. It did take up some of my quilting time. I have to stop now and then, go look at the doors and admire their "pretty as newly-painted" appearance. So - if you're doing a Stash Raid - our home is the one with the shiny clean doors. Ought to be easy to find. Don't wake the alligators. Polly

Aha! This post is almost 24 hours old and not one of you was a bit interested in how to clean the front door. I could draw all kinds of conclusions. The ones who clean their doors still don't have electricity and can't read the discovery. You're all so affluent that you have a staff to tend to such mundane chores. Busy quilting? Nahhhh, probably either baking chocolate cakes with Kate or planning a stash raid. Come on down. Mississippi is the Hospitality State. But please pause to admire my front door. Polly
