Today I finally had a chance to work on a baby quilt for my newest grandchild. I cut the pieces a few weeks ago, and I forgot something very important. One fabric is a stripe, cut into twelve triangles, six that have stripes parallel with the long side and the other six have the stripes perpendicular to it. For everything to work out, I needed to use two of each on the first round, and their two mates on the corresponding sides of the second round. I used four of the same, so the stripes won't be working out right for the next round, and I don't have enough fabric to cut more, so I will have rip apart most of what I did today. I remember telling myself when I cut the pieces that I had to be careful with the stripes, of course I didn't remember until it was too late, so I will be ripping for a while. Maybe this will be a lesson, don't let projects lie too long, or better yet, write myself notes. Live and learn... Linda
