Hi there - I hope you guys can help
We might be staying in Miami 26 &27th December near the airport after a cruise (lucky us)
I haven't booked the return flights yet and am wondering if it worth extending our stay.
Will everything be shut for Christmas? What would you suggest for 2 adults plus 2 teens? Not sure if we will rent a car? Any open LQSs to tempt me?

If you've never been out to Key West -- might be worth renting a car and taking a day to drive out, do lunch on Key West and then head back. I have no idea if you could find lodging on the keys... but if you've never been.... and you are that close, certainly worth a day trip.
Also - if you've never been through the Everglades -- another great day trip. If you could find an airboat ride service open -- those are great fun!
Florida during Christmas vacation is High Season -- so I would anticipate most things are open. But I don't live there -- so hopefully somebody local will confirm!
