OT Back in the USA

My DH and I returned from our 34-day vacation cruise on Sunday. It has taken until today to get things back to normal around here, but it was completely worth it! We crossed the Atlantic from Florida to Tenerife in the Canary Isles, stopped in Gibralter, Alacante and Barcelona Spain, Marseille France, Livorno and Civitavecchio Italy. Then, we started the second leg of the trip to Alexandria Egypt (with an overnight in Cairo), stops in Istanbul and Kusadasi Turkey, Athens and Khios Greece, Naples and Civitavecchio Italy. From there, we rented a car and drove northeast to the Friuli area of Italy, northeast of Venice. We had lived there in the 70's, and went back to visit some old friends and to spend a day in Venice. After that, we drove back to Rome, parked the car at the hotel, and used the hotel shuttle bus to get back and forth to the city. On Sunday, we turned in the rental car at the airport, flew back to Philadelphia, were met by our son, and then we drove home!! I took over 1,100 digital photos, but will get rid of the duplicates and not-so-good shots before I post them on Webshots.

Jet lag has been a little bit of a problem...we both awake around 4 a.m.! This morning I planted all of my outdoor flowers, did all the ironing from the trip and went to Sam's Club before lunch! Now I'm enjoying the a/c and just finished a little nap! My sewing machine hasn't been touched in about

6 weeks, but I did take some redwork Christmas panels along and got two of them finished.

I tried to catch up on the newsgroups, but for some reason did not receive all the posts from May 3 to May 26. I did find them eventually in Sew Girls. Sounds like you've been a busy group. I also signed up to receive RCTQ facebook news. Glad to be back,
