OT: Happy Dancing

My older son has a job. He's been working the Census, which paid well and was interesting but didn't give him many hours. That job ended day before yesterday and he was already deeply depressed. Last night the phone rang at dinner time and it was the little market down the street (a bastion of local ownership in a world filled with AM-PM Mini Marts an 7-Eleven and the like). The owner asked if he'd like a part time job. Son, who spends way too much time buying soda and candy in there, said yes. Doesn't know yet what hours or anything, just that he has a job to go to next week. Today he registered for fall classes. It's not about money, but about that other important stuff -- hope.

Thanks to all of you who have sustained me through the difficult times we've had and who I know will continue to sustain me through the future. Having you dear, dear quilt friends has given me strength to keep my sons going and to not drown them in the bathtub. ;) I love all of you and just want you to know that your love is written on my heart, and on the hearts of my sons who will carry each of you with them throughout the years to come. Both my sons have loved hearing stories of my online friends here, your sorrows and joys, the sharing and caring. Both have shared my joy at finding flowers in my mailbox and loving messages that have come in so many guises.

For this day, all my troubles are at bay. Life is easy and the breezes are cool. I wish nothing more and nothing less to each and every one of you.

Hugs, Sunny
