My dear friend passed away last night. She had been visited by several friends during the day, each holding her hand and t elling her that it was time to let go of the cares of this world. I can't tell you what a relief it is, knowing she is at peace. Janae knew she would die, but never expected to suffer. I'm glad it's over.

After watching several close family members pass away -- I have learned that there truly are things (in my opinion) worse than death.
She now sleeps peacefully with the angels... my prayers to all who loved her.

Thank you, all of you who have followed my friend's last few weeks and have encouraged and comforted me through this hard time. You are true friends and I wish I could sit and drink a hot cup with each and every one of you. you are good people and your friends are fortunate souls.
Janae went peacefully. She was young, a few days short of 66, but as I told her daughter, Janae had as much life as everybody else; she just used it all up. When my friend passed last night, there was not one shred or scrap of leftover life or talent. She put it all to such amazing use. I don't think I will ever know another person quite like Janae. My life is blessed so many times over by her friendship.
I hope each of you has a friend who enriches your life as much.
The quilt community will gather on Janae's birthday to celebrate her life. We intend to laugh until we cry and eat a lot of chocolate.
