OT: Las Vegas recommendations?

We are planning a vacation in June with another couple. We've been to Las Vegas before, but they haven't. We're looking for recommendations for a reasonably priced casino/hotel, one that is CLEAN, prefer to have decent food, maybe some shows... and nice pool (or pools). we will rent a car. Any suggestions about places to visit other than Hoover Dam? Also, any websites that have good (and reliable) vacation packages? Thanks in advance, Gwen in S.E. PA

Get in touch with Sandy in Henderson/LV area .... currently and temporarily off line .... for info about LQS. If you meet Sandy that would be a bonus!

You may want to specify whether you are looking for "on" or "off" strip lodging. That makes a pretty big difference in cost.

Valley of Fire is beautiful. That would be my first choice for a place to re-visit. When we were there in 2002, we took a picnic lunch. It was good we did, because it was very non-commercialized.

I agree. The off-Strip hotels/casinos are quite a bit cheaper than the on-Strip versions, but it all depends on what you want and what you consider reasonable. I haven't stayed in any hotels here in about ten years, so I'm not really sure what the rooms are like. If you could give more details about what you'd like, it would be helpful. :)

Go to lasvegas.com. I just deleted several great hotel deals I had received from Las Vegas. If I haven't actually deleted my deleted folder, I will forward them to you. Go to Red Rock Canyon and go up to Mount Charleston. Hoover Dam is a bit of a problem right now because they are building a new road. I would suggest taking a tour bus to go to Hoover Dam.

Gwen, I just emailed you something. I get offers daily, and will happy to forward them to you. Let me know if you would like me to do that.
