I have a friend who is moving to Las Vegas. I want to give her a list of good quilt shops to try out just as soon as the kids go back to school (or sooner, if she can find the time!). Anyone have any LQSes that they recommend? Any to avoid?
Thanks!

I would, but Carl already did a terrific job of that.

Hi Carl! ;) For the rest of you, it's really great when an RCTQer moves to your area and becomes a quilting buddy, as Carl did. :)
As for the shops, Carl did a great job identifying the ones around here. He only left out the one in Boulder City, about 20 minutes from where I live: Fiddlesticks -- another favorite, though further away in Boulder City. Convenient if you're going to see the Dam. Address: 1229 Arizona St., Boulder City; phone: (702) 293-2979.
As for the others, I'll second Carl's endorsement of Quiltique (I wish they'd hurry and get their web site up, though) -- it's terrific. I hadn't heard about Fabric Boutique closing, but I don't hear everything.
Teresa, you can give your friend both Carl's and my email addies -- maybe we'll *both* give here the tour!
