Irene, I'm holding you close in my thoughts and prayers that the outcome is a good one for you. I'd be scared, too. Please don't hold in your thoughts and feelings - let us know what we can do to help you work through this.
A friend of mine was diagnosed with stage 4 about 3 year ago. I was scheduled for a needle biopsy and spoke with her about what I was thinking and where my head was going with everything. Something I'm sure you are doing as well. She told me, don't worry. I thought easier said than done. She also said look for the answers, think positive and keep a good outlook. After awhile, my worry went away. Mind you my concerns were still there but not always the first thing I was thinking about. In the end, my results came back negative. And my friend, who had stage 4 breast cancer is still with us today. I think her positive attitude and her faith and her family keep her fighting and looking towards the positive.

Now that I'm in my situation, I find I now know a LOT of breast cancer survivors. There are many ways of treating it, depending on the situation. I wish you all the luck in the world! Judy from Mass
Good thoughts and prayers are on their way. I'm so sorry to hear that you have to go through this. As a friend told me over the weekend though, God has a plan, we may not know or understand what it is but He does. Good luck.
Irene: I'll be presumptuous here and state that 'we' don't expect you to reply to each message. Just take care of yourself the best you can. I am glad you are trying to be upbeat. Do banish negative thoughts and remind yourself of the support network you have. Maybe you could print the messages of support and friendship to read if you start to feel down. Pat in Virginia
