OT - Proudest Mum on Earth

Yuppers. Surely am.

We went bush to Bairnsdale on the weekend for monthly go-karting club day and for 3 heats and a final the girls managed to one-two the whole day. DD1 had four 1sts with an overall 1st for the day, and DD2 followed up her sister with four 2nds for an overall 2nd. How coool was that?????

Some great driving and it won't be long before DD2 is beating DD1 as there is only about a half second overall between them.

I was officialing for the day so I couldn't be out there yelling and screaming encouragement (not the done thing to favour one competitor over another when wearing the official neon orange!) but was silently willing the girls on. And I managed to shed the orange for long enough after each race to be a "mum".

The girls knew how proud I was of them.

Just had to brag.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

That's marvellous Sharon! They are doing so well; and how wonderful that the whole family is involved in this interest. It's such fun following their progress - to Formula 1? Well done girls! . In message , Sharon Harper writes

And a rightfully so brag it is, Sharon! Your DDs are two talented drivers..... sounds like it was an exciting day. It must have been really hard to officiate and not whoop and yell!!

LOL - don't know if mum and dad have the $$ to take them to Formula 1 but who knows? At this stage both girls want to be teachers.

Bairnsddale is a lovely country town about 3 hours, I think north east but I could be wrong - I'm a shocker with directions. It truly is our country home, we have some great friends there, and the place is just lovable. Mind you it isn't so small really.

Oh it is, it is!!!! DH was Grid Marshal/commentator so he had the same problem. Just goes to show that I really *do* have self control!!!

I guess that's one of the reasons I like them competing in this sport - it should set them up for when the time comes to drive a car. Give your DS a gentle hug - hope he's not hurt?
