The link is to a pic of theMile a Minute quilt I made -- crib sized. I really like the techniqueand will be starting another one really soon. I'm going to make thesquares bigger next time, probably 10" rather than the 6.5" in thelast one. This technique really offers hope that I might clear out abunch of my scraps. The quilt itself doesn't look so great. I put ittogether and quilted it while I was sick with the flu last week. But Ineeded to keep myself busy and it's finished. BTW -- for those who are worried about H1N1 flu -- apparently that's what I had for the past two weeks. I thought it was a cold. Got a bit icky. A couple days of nasty fever and I'm still pretty weak and tired. But there was no point when I thought about going to the emergency room. The last time I had the flu (last winter), I was much, much sicker.

Anyhow, there are tutorials on the Mile a Minute method. I turned the template I was using so that the blocks came out with seams on the slant rather than straight. I think it looks better that way. And the result was the small blocks which I made out of the trimmed off points on the bigger pieces.

Love that idea. I'm passing it on to my Project Linus volunteers.

Gorgeous quilt! I really like the effect. It does look like a fun one to make.

Sorry you were sick, Sunny, but glad you are on the mend, and that the flu wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Best regards, Michelle in Nevada
