Pictures from the Fair

Here is the link to my Picasa album of quilts from the fair.

I like to see who won the other ribbons to compare my work, analyze what I need to improve on, and once in the past, be aghast at one that placed ahead of mine, but that is another story.

Two things that I noticed this year. There seemed to be fewer quilts entered and the quality of the workmanship seemed out of this world. The quilting was amazingly detailed and very fine, by which I mean small. I was very impressed this year and quite awed by what I saw.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. Some were hanging from the rafters of Irwin Hall which made it hard to see some of them. The quilt show really needs to take over the entire building to be able to hang the quilts out full, and they need to build another barn for the other crafts. Just my humble opinion. Enjoy.

My goodness, Steve! Those quilts are gorgeous! You're right -- the workmanship is lovely. Thanks for the quilt show. :)

Apparently surviving another hurricane hasn't improved my finer sensibilities. I just can't help but ask. Have you pinned your wonderful ribbon to your backside and invited the nasty person who said you weren't a real quilter to kiss it? No need to answer. I'm enjoying the thought all by myself. LOL.
