Won at the fair

I entered two quilts in the Coe Hill Fair (a small country fair where my SIL lives). I won a second in the machine quilted bed size category, and a first in the wall hanging category. I also won the ribbon for the best in the needlework division! The tulip wall hanging is the first two pictures in the "quilts 2009" album. Don't have a photo of the other one yet.....

Congratulations! The tulip wall hanging is beautiful (are you sure that was your first try at thread painting?), and I'm sure the other winner is just as nice. You do beautiful work.

Wow! Susan, I love your tulips (and those feathers, of course )! Congratulations -- three ribbons on two quilts is quite an accomplishment! I can't wait to see a picture of the other quilt. :)

That is so beautiful. I particularly admire your choices of quilting patterns. I don't think I could ever come up with anything so imaginative. WTG!

Lovely quilting Susan, do you use a regular mahine, wow.

I am always suprised when you talk about Coe Hill. My Sister lives there on Wolloston Lake, they just completed a permanent residence there. I was supposed to visit this summer but things got in the way!! Hopefully soon I will see that part of the country. I want to make a quilt for her new home and deliver it personally!!
